Senior Consultant, KJR
I am a Senior Consultant with KJR, focusing on guiding customers to design, develop and implement Quality Valuable outcomes. I have delivered successful projects in diverse environments from complex Safety Critical Rail Systems to born in the cloud startups.
My experience was built as a developer and software engineer delivering enterprise applications using a variety of development methodologies and Microsoft’s’ .Net technology stack. More recently I focus on assisting and guiding customers through their change process and delivering digital transformations to show clients how to deliver the desired outcome and achieve a User Value within a Quality solution.
Quality Assurance should not hinder the progress of development, but should enhance the outcome. I think the best way to sum it up would be in the words of Margaret Atwood
“I would like to be the air that inhabits you for a moment only. I would like to be that unnoticed and that necessary.”
I believe we should look at Testing, and Quality Assistance in the same way, where it is vital to the survival of any project but should be so unnoticed that the mere fact of it occurring is seamless.
With a background forged in C, and a progression through to C#, I have cut my teeth on some challenging, interesting and rewarding projects. Some of the most rewarding have been after I shifted sideways into testing, then upwards to a Software Testing Consultant. I am a strong advocate for change where it will deliver value to the customer. I believe that Quality should be first and foremost in any project and that can only be achieved if the whole team aspires to reach the same level. Outside of the office I have a passion for Rowing, Rugby Union, Reading, and my Family.

Worked on multiple client projects across a wide range of industry sectors including Banking and Finance, Healthcare, Rail and Transport, Government and Insurance helping clients to achieve high quality outcomes through the design and development of innovative solutions.
As a Software Engineer my role included the design and implementation of software solutions for our clients developed in embedded C, and VB .Net. In this role I collaborated with client representatives and business users,to identify and resolve business workflow issues. Worked on and oversaw each phase of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) analyzing requirements communicating with developers, and vendors to create unique solutions.
In charge of maintaining the operational status of the network, and computer systems for this Brisbane based Real Estate Agency, I oversaw the roll-out and implementation of the integrated Wireless network solution.
11 out of 10 for "Beyond the call of duty". A rare combination of skill plus dedication to client satisfaction. Matt often went (miles) out of his way to help us with technical problems.
